Established in 2008 by a Govt. order of West Bengal Government and an affiliation from University of North Bengal for promotion of higher education system in and around Siliguri , Munshi Premchand Mahavidyalaya had set goal for development of higher education . Its Major objective includes widening of access to higher education. While articulating these goals we had in mind the following words of Radhakrishnan Commission on Higher Education (1948 - 49) : "The most important and urgent reform needed in education is to ransform it , to endeavour to relate it to the life, need and aspiration of the people and thereby make it the powerful instrument of social , economic and cultural transforationnecessary for the realization of the national goals . For this purpose, education sh\ould be developed so as to increase productivity, achieve social and national integration, accelerate the precess of modernization and cultivate social, moral and spritual values."

PRINCIAPL'S MASSAGE :
People dreamt of a college for a long time in and around Sevoke Road, Siliguri so that higher education be reached among the pupils of the graeter number of the locality. After obtaining Govt. Apoval and affiliation from the University of North BEngal, Munshi Premchand Mahavidyalaya was foundedin july 2008 to live up to the expectation of the people. The college emberked its journey with 243 students and a number of guest and part-time teacher in "Siliguri Sewmangal Memorial Hindi High School".
